While Righteous is digging in the crates DJ Mercilless is going in on the 1’s and 2’s showing off his mastery. Gem-dropping bars and wordplay by Righteous define the role of an MC and the DJ. Ruste Juxx follows suit with his verse as What is an emcee if he can’t rap, what is a DJ if he can’t scratch, echoes throughout the video. The duo pays respect and homage to authentic Hip Hop, the lost elements, and the culture. They do so in a gripping manner without sounding dated so all schools of Hip Hop can embrace the message.
