Multi-talented Asian rap artist Soi Sauce has exploded onto the scene with her unique brand of trap rap and dance as she delivers an infectious track and visual for her latest single “Poppin'” ft. Rich The Kid.
A native of Hainan, China, the beautiful 23-year-old Los Angeles resident debuted onto the Hip Hop scene after winning several national TV dance competitions throughout Asia. The dynamic new trap star is also now part of the cast of a new TV Show in production slated to air this fall.
TV is not new territory for this former professional dancer as she has been featured in numerous videos for some of the world’s best recording artists including Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg, & Enrique Iglesias to name a few.
After being discovered by stalwart executive producer & talent manager Micah White, who’d previously worked with award-winning music, film and TV company Greyology Inc (AR Rahman, Slumdog Millionaire, Couples Retreat, 127 Hours, XFactor, Leona Lewis, etc.), Soi Sauce signed with Micah’s Level Up Management, and rapidly began to evolve into the star we are seeing now, with drawing inspiration from [and comparisons to] female Hip Hop legends and veterans such as Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj, and drawing comparisons to Hip Hop’s current people’s champ, Cardi B.
Ingeniously, Soi Sauce merged her Asian culture with trap music which has inspired a genre of her own that she refers to as “Trapinese”.
