On “RNU” the debut single from Boston rapper “Maine Man” the emcee tells us how only a “certain type” of person might be able to relate to the message, he is trying to convey. Through the three minute long track, assisted by recently crowned 2014 XXL freshman and Chicagoan “Lil Durk”, “Maine” takes you through his Roxbury neighborhood and gives you a look into what its like being from a forgotten land and aspires to bring Roxbury back to the hey-day it of New Edition and Bobby Brown that seems all so far behind in the rear view. With appearances by Rondo Numba 9 and 2011 Freshman Fred The Godson, and backed by Durk’s signature Auto Tuned sound “RNU leaves one hell of an opening impression and makes you wonder whats next on the horizon for “Maine Man”.
